Excellent Corrosion Resistance: In the quenched and naturally aged condition, 6A02 aluminum exhibits corrosion resistance similar to 3A21 and 5A02. However, alloys in the artificially aged condition tend to intergranular corrosion. Alloys with a copper content below 0.1% have higher corrosion resistance than those in the artificially aged condition.
