How to calculate the amount of double angle aluminum extrusions you need

If you're not sure how much double angle extrusion you need for your case, the formula is simple:

Add the lengths of all four edges of the case (left, right, front, back) and multiply by 2 to get the perimeter.

Example: (40 + 40 + 20 + 20) × 2 = 240

Multiply the height of the case (top to bottom) by 4.

Example: 20 × 4 = 80

Add the two results together, then divide by 12 to get the total feet required.

Example: (240 + 80) ÷ 12 = 27 feet
